“Show me the money”

A member of our accounting team, Gregg Bricker is the Assistant Controller for the Rental Division, and serves as the primary financial liaison between our rental agents, Rental Director, and Company Controller. Gregg works closely with our Director of Rentals on the financial aspects of each potential deal by collecting all rents and security from our rental agents prior to the presentation of each application to a landlord and keeping a tight log of all transactions. He also maintains our escrow account and manages the weekly payroll for our approximately 100 rental agents who have constantly varying commissions.

Gregg earned his B.A. in Colonial History from Queens College. When he was hired after graduation as a general manager for a very popular nightclub, he found that coordinating a large organization was an area where his talents were well realized, and he excelled in the position. After spending seven years there, he was looking for a way to grow. When the President of Manhattan Apartments, Inc. was introduced to Gregg, he knew that he had the perfect position for him. As MAI's staff of rental agents expanded, it was becoming necessary to have someone to coordinate the rental fees with them. Gregg's previous experience made him the perfect candidate.

Gregg loves the fast-paced nature of his job, and keeps a constant smile on his face and humor on his tongue as he deals with the agents. Many of them consider him a friend, and that is one of the keys to maintaining a smooth and efficient relationship between the agents and management in a very busy operation. Although he can't tear himself away from the excitement, Gregg continues to pursue his dreams of one day being a history professor, and frequently travels throughout New York State to visit local historical sites. He is also a horse-racing aficionado. A fountain of musical and historical trivia, Gregg helps to keep the rental department the fun and good-humored place it is, while always maintaining a closely watched financial operation.
